Passes To Cultural Attractions

The Library is currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Reservations through March 31 for all passes will be canceled.  This date will be updated as we re-evaluate the length of our closure. Please note that most state-wide attractions will be closed due to the pandemic and you should call before visiting.

To explore the content of the world's best museums and historic sites, visit Google Art and Culture, where you can explore the Eiffel Tower, the mysterious statues of Easter Island, the beauty of the collections in the Louvre Museum and much more!

For Opera lovers - The Metropolitan Opera will host "Nightly Met Opera Streams" on its website.  These live streams are free and will present encore's of The Met's acclaimed Live in HD series.

And please don't forget - many of our local museums, theaters, music venues and galleries are in financial trouble due to the pandemic. Please support the arts in any way you can.

The Milford Public Library offers passes to a wide variety of local museums. These passes allow free or discounted admission depending on the museum. Prices and hours are set by the museum and are subject to change; there may be restrictions on special events. Please check the museum's website for current information. To reserve a pass, you must be a Milford Library member in good standing.  Passes may only be checked out by adult card holders.

Pass Guidelines*:

  • The library circulates two types of passes: physical passes, which may be reserved online, but must be checked out and returned to the library; and printable passes, which can be reserved and printed at home. Library staff can assist with reservations and printing.
  • Adult users may reserve up to 5 passes in a calendar month, with 1 reservation allowed per day. Reservations may be made up to 90 days in advance.
  • Adult users may reserve passes, for the same museum, once per week or twice per month.
  • Reservations are made for the date of visit to the museum. Patrons may pick up the physical pass after 3:00p.m. on the library business day prior to the visit and must return it by 11:00a.m. of the library business day following the visit (Check library schedule). Physical passes MUST be returned to the Milford Public Library. NOTE: Holiday weekend schedules may impact availability to pick up passes.  Please check with library staff.
  • Some passes may be printed at home; this option is set by individual museums. To use the pass at the museum a valid photo i.d will be required; the name on the printed pass must match the identification shown. Most venues will not accept mobile versions of the pass. Pass is good only for reservation date specified on the printed pass.

  • Reservation confirmation and reminders are sent via email only.
  • There is a $5.00 per day overdue fine when a physical pass is not returned by the due date. One overdue pass in the past 90 days will block further reservations. Not returning a pass on time impacts the next reservation. All efforts will be made to contact you if your reserved pass has not been returned on time by the previous user. However, the Library cannot take responsibility for physical passes that are returned late.
  • If a user fails to pick up their reserved physical passes twice in a 90 day period, they will be blocked from further reservations.
  • Users will be charged the full replacement cost in the case of a lost physical pass.
*This is a new service. These guidelines are subject to change as we evaluate use of the service. As always, individual museums may have unique restrictions.

Getting Started:
*Passes can only be reserved and checked out by Adult library card holders; juvenile cards will not be accepted.
