February News at the Library!
Have you tried our new streaming video service, Kanopy? Kanopy is a video streaming service that provides instant access to thousands of critically acclaimed movies, documentaries, and Kids favorites. Kanopy partners with studios like A24, The Criterion Collection, Great Courses, PBS and more! All you need is a valid library card to get started - make sure your card is up to date before the snow hits this weekend!
February may be a short month, but it is chock full of library programs for all ages! Some of the highlights include adult programs such as the ever popular actor Kandie Carle dicussing the clothing of the Regency Era, employment and resume workshops, and an interesting discussion on light pollution; Teens can learn how to make quesadillas or join our teen writing group, Spill Some Ink; and our Children's Department is celebrating Take Your Child to the Library Day on February 5 with lots of fun, family-friendly activities.
Library programs continue to be a mix of in-person and zoom offerings. The safety of our staff and visitors is our utmost priority and programs and services may change as we receive guidance from the Health Department. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
The Library does have a supply of N95 masks for distribution. We are now distributing 3 masks per person at our service desks. This procedure may change depending on demand. While supplies last.
And, as I mention every month - a HUGE thank you to our Friends of the Milford Library for funding and supporting our programs. Would you like to get more involved with the Friends? They are looking to fill a few volunteer positions, or simply become a member! Information on our Friends of the Library is on the library website: milfordlibrary.org.
Please remember that masks and social distancing are required in ALL city buildings, including the library, regardless of vaccination status.
