Milford Public Library - Update to digital content service

Important Update to our Downloadable E-content service:Overdrive Libby

The Milford Public Library has been offering digital content through two different platforms, Overdrive and rbDigital. Recently, Overdrive acquired rbDigital and the rbDigital platform will be discontinued. Our ebook and eaudio content will be moved from the rbDigital site to Overdrive on December 14.  

What does this mean for users of rbDigital?

  • Items checked out in the rbDigital app on December 14 will be available through the remainder of the loan period so readers can finish the title without disruption. 
  • Holds placed on rbDigital titles will NOT be moved over to Overdrive.  Users will need to re-place their holds in Overdrive.
  • Checkout history will NOT be moved over to Overdrive. 
  • E-magazines will remain on the rbdigital platform for a little while longer.  We expect that content to be moved to Overdrive sometime in January.

Overdrive is the leading digital reading platform for libraries, and users can browse our digital collection, instantly  borrow titles and start reading or listening for free with a valid Milford Public Library card. Overdrive's award winning reading app, Libby, can be downloaded for free from the Apple or Google play marketplace.
