Milford Public Library 2020 April Program Calendar

April News at the Library!

My usual calendar update is one brimming with information on all the programs and services offered at the library; this one holds my sincerest wishes that you are all well and managing through  this pandemic with some degree of security and support.  Our doors are closed until we can re-open safely for our community, our volunteers and our staff. I hope that is soon.

Library staff are working to move programs and services online, and to provide every resident a library card so you can access our collection of ebooks, e-audiobooks, e-magazines and more!  If you are in need of a Digital Access card, or simply need to renew your old card, please contact the library at 203-783-3290, or go to our catalog and click on the Get a Library Card link to start the process (Note: This link may not be available on your mobile device).

This month we are offering virtual storytimes and a scavenger hunt for kids, adult book discussion groups via Zoom, and have added a Resource Center to our website full of educational and fun activities for all ages. Staff are using our 3D printer to create face masks and straps for our health care workers, planning new programs and services for when we re-open, ordering materials, answering reference questions and  more!  If you have any suggestions for ways we can better help you through this pandemic, please contact me at cangeli@milfordct.gov.

On behalf of all the staff, I want to say how much we miss you! YOU are the heart of the library, and we miss our daily interactions with each one of you.  Please enjoy this brief video created by staff - we hope to see you soon! In the meantime, Stay Safe, Stay Home and Be Well. #TogetherMilford.

Best,

Chris Angeli

Library Director
