Tent & Canopy Requirements

In Connecticut, all temporary tents and canopies over 400 square feet in area require review and approval prior to set-up.  The tents and canopies require flame retardant protection in accordance with NFPA 701 and proper anchorage provisions to ensure stability against wind forces.  If side panels are used with the tent, then means of egress openings and exit markings are also required.
