Fire Prevention Poster Contest

Each year, the Fire Marshal's Office conducts the Fire Prevention Poster Contest.  The contest is open to all Milford fourth & fifth graders.  The theme of the contest is "Fire Prevention - Everyone Everyday".  Children work with their school's art teacher to create an original poster with their own fire prevention message.

Six local winners are chosen, three from the fourth grade and three from the fifth grade.  All six winners are hosted at Fire Headquarters for a station visit/tour and a pizza party with the firefighters!  All six winners also receive fire prevention themed prizes.

The contest opens during October's Fire Prevention Week each year.  The poster completion date is November 30th with poster judging in mid-December.  The Poster Contest Firehouse Visit & Pizza Party is held in April.
