Update 6/1/2021: Effective June 1, 2021, all municipal buildings will resume normal hours of operation and will be fully-open to the public. Face mask required.

Resident Parking Stickers are issued pursuant to City of Milford Ordinance Sec. 14-12. Please see attachment below for a copy of the ordinance or to search and view an ordinance please click here.

For IN PERSON or MAIL IN/DROP BOX request requirements, please review the Resident Sticker Common Eligibility Scenarios link or see attachment below.

Resident Parking Stickers are available at the Tax Collector's Office. If you are coming in person to the Tax Collector's Office for a resident sticker, you must bring your current motor vehicle registration(s) and your taxes must be paid up to date.

This is to verify the vehicle is currently registered to a Milford taxpayer. This cannot be determined from your tax bill. For example, your July 1, 2020 tax bill was based off of what vehicle you owned on one day October 1, 2019 (the date the Assessor's Grand List of taxable property was compiled). When looking at your tax bill it is only known your car was registered October 1, 2019.

To obtain a resident parking sticker by mail, complete the Resident Parking Sticker Application form and mail to "Milford Tax Collector's Office, 70 W River St, Milford CT 06460" with motor vehicle registration, required documentation and a self-addressed stamped envelope. All taxes must be paid up to date in order to receive a resident parking sticker. (Please put a note on the application if you have a different MAILING ADDRESS).

Sticker Placement: Per City Ordinance, please place resident parking sticker on the lower right-hand (passenger side) corner of the rear windshield or passenger side rear bumper.

Important note regarding address changes:  If you have a Connecticut vehicle registration, drivers license or ID card, Connecticut law requires residents to report address changes to DMV within 48 hours of change of address. More information is available on DMV's website at

Replacement Sticker Information: The City is not responsible for Lost, Stolen, or Destroyed stickers. There will be a $25.00 charge for a replacement sticker if the original one is not returned. If you are selling your vehicle, please remove the sticker and return it to the City for a free replacement sticker.
