Reminder: Taxes are due by 8/1/22

The July 1, 2022 tax installment (from the 2021 Grand List) is due by August 1, 2022. You have until August 1, 2022 to pay without penalty. The payment must be received by the Tax Collector's Office or USPS/UPS/FedEx postmarked by August 1, 2022 to be considered timely. All bills (real estate tax, sewer use fee, motor vehicle tax, and personal property tax) $200.00 or less are due in full July 1, 2022.

If you have already paid your current taxes, please disregard this notice.

If you have not received a tax bill, please contact the Tax Collector at 203-783-3217. By Connecticut General Statute, failure to have received a bill does not exempt the taxpayer from payment of all taxes, interest charges, and collections costs/fees. Interest is charged on all late payments by statute, no exceptions. If the installment is not paid on of before August 1, 222, it is subject to interest at the statutory rate of 1.5 percent per month, calculated from July 1, 2022, or a $2.00 minimum, whichever is more.
