Tips and Reminders Regarding Trash Disposal

Few reminders about trash disposal and Public Works in the City:

  1. All trash MUST be bagged and placed in your trash tote. Unbagged trash or trash outside the tote will NOT be picked up. Recycling, however, must remain unbagged and inside the tote.
  2. The Milford Transfer Station is currently open and will maintain normal operating hours – Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm and Saturday 7:00am-12:00pm.
  3. Please DO NOT flush cleaning wipes down the toilet. These items belong in the trash and could do serious damage to your plumbing system and/or the City’s wastewater infrastructure. Only toilet paper is to be flushed down the toilet.
  4. Public Works crews continue to work hard keeping our essential services of the Department of Public Works (DPW) running during these difficult times. Kudos to the men and women of DPW who support our City!
  5. Wash your hands and practice social distancing.
  6. Stay safe and healthy!
