Can I Get A Beach Sticker At The Milford Police Department?

City of Milford Resident Parking Permits

From May 1 to September 30 of each year during beach hours as set forth of in the City Ordinance, Section 16-2, no person shall park a motor vehicle in the parking area adjacent to Gulf Beach or Walnut Beach marked and designated by appropriate signs as an unrestricted area without paying a parking charge of $40 per day or any portion thereof, or unless said vehicle displays a sticker as provided in City Ordinance Section 14-12.

Resident stickers are good for City parks and beaches as well as the City Transfer Station (passenger vehicles only, pick-up trucks require a separate permit) and City of Milford commuter lots where it is posted that resident stickers are required.

Milford Resident/Taxpayer:

City of Milford Annual Resident Parking stickers are valid January 1 through December 31 and are available Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, at the Milford Tax Office located at the Parson's Government Center, 70 West River St. Milford, CT.

Non-Resident (Seasonal):

Non-residents can pay daily parking fees ($40.00) at Gulf Beach and Walnut Beach, or purchase a Non-Resident Seasonal Parking permit.

Non-Resident Seasonal Parking permits will be valid from the May 1 to September 30 of each year. Seasonal parking similar to the old white resident stickers with “Seasonal Parking” and the date’s in red on the tag and are only valid only through the dates listed.

Seasonal Parking Permits for non-residents are available for purchase from May 1 to Septemeber 30 of each year, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00 pm from the Milford Recreation Department (70 W. River St. Milford, CT 06460). The cost for the seasonal permits is $250.00. Acceptable forms of payment are: Bank Cashier Check or Money Order (Made payable to "Milford Recreation for $250), and Cash.

The purchaser will be instructed to tape the tag to their windshield. Officers will "NOT" honor "portable" stickers obviously designed to move from vehicle to vehicle in violation of the terms of issue.
