October News at the Library!

We have two big items to share this month -

Our wonderful Children's Librarian, Suzanne Harrison-Thomas, has been appointed the new Assistant Director of the Library! While our children and families will miss Miss Suzanne in the Children's Department, we are thrilled to have her in this new position where she can impact library services and programs for the entire library. Congratulations, Suzanne!

Party in the Stacks - It's Back!

After a two year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Friends of the Milford Library are thrilled to announce their annual fundraiser, Party in the Stacks, is returning on Saturday, October 22. This year's event hosts a storybook theme, Party in the Stacks, Where Dreams Come True. This adults-only event features delicious themed appetizers from Christopher Martin's, specialty drink and adult beverages from The Crushed Grape, music, dancing, raffle/auction prizes, and a trivia contest! Costumes are optional, but encouraged. What could be better than channeling your inner childhood storybook hero - whether a princess, wizard, or Winnie the Pooh - and celebrating in the library after-hours!

When: October 22, 2022, 7:00pm-10:00pm
Ticket prices: $45.00/person, through September 30th.

Beginning October 1, prices go up to $55.00/person. Tickets will be available at the door. Members of the Friends of the Library who purchase tickets ahead of the event will get a $5.00 drink/raffle coupon.
Tickets are available online through BiddingOwl (credit/debit/paypal), or at the Library Circulation Desk (cash/check only).
