December News at the Library!

The Friends of the Library Annual Holiday Book sale is back! Shop for hardcover, trade paperbacks, and children's books. Fiction and nonfiction including cookbooks, history, mystery, and classic books. All books are in pristine condition and are priced at $2.00. Friends of the Library merchandise will also be for sale. What a great way to shop local, support the library, and get the gift that keeps on giving - a great book! The sale will be on Saturday, December 4, 10:00am-3:00pm in the Library Program Room.

We are also returning more in person programming! Join us Sunday, December 12 at 2:00pm, in-person or via Zoom, to enjoy the holiday sounds of a Celtic Christmas, with multi-instrumentalist Jeff Snow. Registration to attend this program in-person or via Zoom is required. In person space is limited. Visit our website for details.

Programs for children and teens include an outdoor activity at our Storywalk at Eisenhower Park and a meeting of our new Teen writing group, Spill Some Ink!

Are you getting ready to re-enter the workforce, or make a job change? Check out the career and interview help offered by the Library's online resources, JobNow! and Learning Express, which even includes practice tests for civil service exams, nursing and more! And be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, December 23, when the Career Coach returns. The Career Coach is a joint project of Career Resources, Inc. and the American Job Center. The Career Coach is your job coach on wheels with computers, internet and experts to help you job search and critique your resume! At no cost!
