March 2014 Newsletter

Welcome to the Milford Public Library!

Happy March!

Although there may not be green on the ground we are showing a bit of that Spring color here at the Library! On March 12 at 3:00 we will be having a program of Celtic Music to get us in the St. Patrick's Day spirit and on March 24  we will host the program "Growing Unusual Vegetables", presented by the CT Agricultural Experiment Station. Further warming things up will be a visit by local Romance author Joan Wolf on March 6th.

Oscar Mondays! The library wil be showing Oscar nominated films on select Monday afternoons. So, if you didn't get a chance to go the movie theater, or just want to watch them again, stop by for some popcorn and the best movie seat in Milford!

The Children's Department is always a warm, welcoming place and this month registration is open for the Spring 2014 session of Family Place, a weekly playgroup for children ages 1-3 with a caregiver. For older kids we offer a kids book club, lego build-a-thon, and invention convention training. Details on these programs can be found in our monthly calendar, or by calling the Chldrens Department at 203-783-3312.

Most of our programs are funded through the generous support and tireless efforts of the Friends of the Milford Library.   We are in the process of adding information on the group to our website, please take a look and consider getting involved. We are a community-driven organization and truly appreciate your support.

Don't Miss Out...

Please Note:

Many of our online resources do require you to have a Milford Public Library card for access. If you are a  Milford resident and don't yet have one, please stop by the Library to get started.
