CONGRATULATIONS to

GAIL EVANKO

Radio/Materials Dispatcher with the Public Works Department

for being selected as Employees of the Month for October 2016.

As the recipient of the award for the Mayor’s Employee of the Month Program, please join us in extending warm congratulations to Gail in receiving this recognition.  After a review of all of the nominations the Selection Committee chose her as the winner for her outstanding work performance, teamwork and professionalism.

Gail began her employment with the City of Milford as Kennel Keeper in the Animal Control Department on November 6, 2007, and was promoted to Assistant Animal Control Officer on July 1, 2008.  Then Gail transferred to Sanitation as a Laborer where she worked until January 23, 2012, after which she was promoted to Radio/Materials Dispatcher.  Gail also fills in as Weighmaster in Sanitation when needed.

Gail performs her job professionally and maintains a calm and courteous manner when assisting residents with any issues they may have.  Gail is part of the glue that helps to keep the department together and, when needed, can be found working both day and night during severe weather-related events.

Gail embodies the spirit of teamwork and is not afraid of assuming additional responsibilities to assist fellow co-workers and the department overall.  Gail possesses the qualities necessary to provide knowledgeable customer service, which is appreciated by both residents and her co-workers alike.  These are just a few of the many reasons the Mayor extends his sincere congratulations and appreciation to Gail for the outstanding attributes she exhibits as Employees of the Month.

Again, congratulations to Gail!
