What are the requirements for door hardware for my business?

EGRESS DOOR HARDWARE for COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS

There are stringent requirements for egress (exit) door hardware for commercial buildings. Typically, the door hardware will be one that allows for "single-motion" unlatching of the door.  The doors must always be operable from the egress side without the use of keys, tools, or special knowledge or effort.

In some cases, special "panic-style" door hardware may be required.
