Milford, State & Federal Resources In Response to COVID-19


CARES Act funds are available to Milford non-profit and agencies for the city with eligible programs and COVID-19 related expenses. Contact the Department for more information. Two awards totaling $606,952 were accepted by the City through a substantial amendment process for the purpose of preventing, preparing for, and responding to the Coronavirus public health and economic crisis.  Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CDBG-CV) Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the funds are either fully expended or the award term ends.

Security Deposit Program, CDBG & CDBG-CV (CARES Act) funds are available on a first come, first serve basis. CARES Act funds are granted in response to the health and/or economic impact of COVID-19. Small Business Assistance Grants to Eligible small businesses (Micro-Enterprise Assistance Program MEAP). CDBG & CDBG-CV or CARES Act was allocated by Congress in response to the health and economic impact of COVID-19.  Grants to business owners with less than 30 employees or 5 or less employees including themselves may apply.  Eligibility is based on income and purpose. Applications are linked to the ECD Small Business Grant Assistance web page.
