Connecticut Launches COVID Alert CT App

To stop the spread of COVID-19, Connecticut needs everyone to do their part. One way you can help yourself and your community is by downloading the COVID Alert CT App. The more people who download or enable the app on their smart phone, the more effective COVID Alert CT will be.

What is COVID Alert CT?

COVID Alert CT is a voluntary, anonymous, exposure-notification smartphone app. If the app sense that you have been in close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19 you will receive an alert. Knowing about a potential exposure will allow you to self-quarantine immediately, get tested, and reduce the potential exposure risk to your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and others.

COVID Alert CT Setup Instructions see below

The COVID Alert CT app can be used on both Apple and Android devices.

Apple devices:Go to Settings > Exposure Notifications > Turn on Exposure Notifications

Tap Continue and select United States > Connecticut

Complete COVID Alert CT Onboarding

To verify that exposure notifications are enabled on an iPhone, go to Settings > Exposure Notifications. If notifications are enabled, users should see that the Exposure Logging Status is set to Active and there will be a green checkmark next to it. they are in a region that is using the exposure notification tool, but is not necessary for receiving notifications.

Android devices:

The COVID Alert CT App can be downloaded from Google Play. To verify that exposure notifications are enabled on an Android phone, open the COVID Alert CT app. Click on the Settings tab and ensure that Exposure Notifications are set to On. If not, click on Exposure Notifications and turn the toggle on.
