Registration Information for Primary and General Elections

Voter Registration Information for Milford and CT residents.

Any U. S. citizen 18 years old or older, who is a bona fide resident of Milford, is eligible to register to vote in this city. If you are at least 17 years old, and will turn 18 before the next general election (Nov. 7, 2023) you may 'pre-register'.

To request a voter registration application, simply go to the office of the Registrars of Voters or City Clerk’s Office during office hours.

Applications are also available on the Secretary of State's website: http://www.sots.ct.gov.

You may also register to vote online: https://voterregistration.ct.gov with a valid CT drivers license.

Special Voter Registration Sessions:

The Registrars of Voters will hold special voter registration sessions on the following dates and times. The Sessions will be held in the Registrars of Voters office at the Parsons Government Center, 70 West River Street.

 Seventh Day Before Election Day Registration Session Tuesday, October 31, 2023   9:00 am. – 8:00 pm. In person, mail-in and on-line cut-off, in all towns. Last regular voter registration session. All mail-in voter registration applications must be received or postmarked by this date.

Note: 11:59 P.M. on this date is also the deadline to register to vote using the On-line Voter Registration System.

Limited Registration Session The Last Weekday before Election Monday, November 6, 2023  9:00 am.- 5:00 pm. Session of Registrars of Voters to admit those seeking to vote in the election whose qualification as to age, citizenship or residence was attained since October 31st. (Sec 9-17)

Election Day Registration: November 7, 2023

The Registrars of Voters will hold EDR (Election Day Registration) at Parsons Government Center, 70 West River Street on Election Day, November 7, 2023, between 6 am. to 8 pm.  By law, a person is eligible to register and vote if they are (1) a U.S. citizen, (2) age 18 or older, and (3) a bona fide resident of Milford.  

Please note: Your registration must be processed and your ballot issued prior to 8:00 pm.
