Arthur J. (A.J.) Berube

Night Custodian in the Building Maintenance Division within the Department of Public Works

for being selected as Employee of the Month for June 2016.

 

As the recipient of the award for the Mayor’s Employee of the Month Program, please join us in extending a warm congratulation to A.J. in receiving this recognition.  After a review of all of the nominations, the Selection Committee unanimously chose him as the winner for his dedicated service, professionalism and always exceeding expectations related his work performance.   

 

A.J. has held the position of Night Custodian since his employment began with the City of Milford on September 9, 2013.

 

The position of a Custodian is to ensure the city buildings are kept neat, clean, free from clutter, and safe.  A.J.’s capacity as a Custodian is first class.  He goes above and beyond in the performance of his job responsibilities, giving attention to minute details.  He attends to his daily tasks with a cheerful demeanor and is always willing to assist.  A.J. is valued by his peers and supervisors.  He always manages to his work with a positive and willing disposition.  A.J. goes out of his way to make sure the buildings he is working on are in the best shape possible and takes it upon himself to fix minor issues without being ask to.  Most importantly, he always shows how much he cares about his work.

 

A.J.’s great attitude, attention to detail and his willingness to help are all examples of why he is an asset to the City of Milford.  These are just a few of the many reasons the Mayor extends his sincere congratulations and appreciation to A.J. for the outstanding attributes he exhibits as Employees of the Month.
