Join the City of Milford for River Street Wednesdays!
The City of Milford and Milford Arts Council are thrilled to announce River Street Wednesdays. River Street Wednesdays will be held each Wednesday at Noon on the parkette in front of City Hall from May 27th to August 26th, 2015.
“River Street Wednesdays provides the community an opportunity to connect for a rousing mid-day downtown. We encourage everyone to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy downtown Milford and everything it has to offer,” said Mayor Blake.
The Wednesday events will be complimented by Open Mic Nights July 8th through August 12th at the Milford Arts Council. In the Fall, MAC will feature a Fest on the Green scheduled for September 19th. For more information visit www.milfordarts.org.
“The events are eclectic and entertaining meant to highlight many of the activities and beauty of Milford, as well as create a community place in the heart of our City,” said Paige Miglio, Executive Director for the Milford Arts Council and Julie Nash, Economic and Community Development Director for the City of Milford, the event organizers.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair as well as a picnic lunch. The downtown area has a number of restaurants where a bag lunch can be purchased.
