2017 River Street Wednesdays
The City of Milford and Milford Arts Council are thrilled to again announce River Street Wednesdays for the third year. The 2017 River Street Wednesdays will take place every Wednesday at 12:30 PM on the parkette in front of City Hall from June 14, 2017 to August 23, 2017.
“River Street Wednesdays is a way for the community to connect and enjoy each other, to get people moving and create a rousing mid-day downtown. We encourage everyone to come down with a picnic lunch and enjoy Milford and everything it has to offer,” said Mayor Blake.
The Wednesday events are complimented by Open Mic Nights July 12th through August 16th at the Milford Arts Council (7-10PM, performers register 6-7pm). The winner will perform at the widely attended 43rd Annual Milford Oyster Festival on August 19th. For more information visit www.milfordarts.org.
“The events are eclectic, entertaining and meant to highlight many of the activities and beauty of Milford, as well as create a community place for an underutilized park in the heart of our City,” said Paige Miglio, Executive Director for the Milford Arts Council and Julie Nash, Economic and Community Development Director for the City of Milford, the event organizers.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair as well as a picnic lunch.
