Mayor Richetelli and City Attorney Smith Honored by VFW
Milford, CT, February 3, 2009: Mayor James L. Richetelli, Jr. and City Attorney Winthrop S. Smith, Jr. were honored recently by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Post 7788.
Mayor Richetelli was honored with a special citation for “meritorious and distinguished service in furthering the aims and ideals” of the VFW.
“Mayor Richetelli is a good friend of this Post,” said Commander Timothy R.
Mead, during the January 24, 2009 awards ceremony at Post headquarters, in Devon. “He has always been there for us when we’ve needed to get something done.”
The same evening, Mr. Smith received the Post 7788 Americanism Award, which is given annually to a member of the Post or the community who has shown “a true love of country, and a dedication to God and country.” Mr.
