This program is run in conjunction with local Cub Scout Dens during the weekend before Thanksgiving. The Cub Scouts camp out and collect non-perishable food and turkeys for local families for their Thanksgiving Dinner. Food collection sites are also posted at local supermarkets. The Department of Human Services works in conjunction with the Scouts to deliver the baskets to those families and individuals identified by the department as having a genuine need.
