The Department of Human Services (formerly known as Milford HRD), is a non-profit department, established by city ordinance to be responsible for the conduct and administration of social service programs for the City of Milford.
Our mission is to administer and coordinate human service programs, locate gaps in services, locate appropriate resources to complete a full network of community services, and to provide long-range human service planning for disadvantaged, low-income, and disabled persons in the City of Milford.
Human Services also administers, coordinates, and provides Youth and Family services for the City. These include Family Therapy, Group Therapy, and positive prevention based programming for youth and their families.
In addition, we coordinate and chair both the Milford Youth Services Network and the Social Service Network.
