Improvisations Psychodrama Group –
Milford Youth and Family Services is offering a unique psychodrama program that utilizes improvisational theatre to raise awareness of issues facing youth, families, and the community, through the use of skits. Facilitated by family therapists, its purpose is to educate and heighten the awareness of the audience, as well as the theatre members, concerning the complexities of the family experience.
Participants will present real life situations which explore the emotions (e.g. love and hate; joy and grief) that family members experience both individually and collectively. The program fosters insight and emotional growth for theater members and audiences because of the experiential design of the performance. The program will perform for school groups, other youth groups and parents.
If you are interested in participating in this program, or would like more information, please contact Jessica Lewis, at Milford Youth and Family Services, at 203-783-3253.
