Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program
The Department of Human Services is a designated distribution site for Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program. This is a supplemental food program that provides vouchers to eligible seniors which may be redeemed at local designated Farmers’ Markets throughout Connecticut. These vouchers provide seniors with the opportunity to purchase locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs during the summer.
The program is administered nationally by the State Department of Agriculture.
